COVID-19 Dining Updates

     TRANSITION TO ALL PACK-OUT MEALS: April 10, 2020 - Beginning Monday April 13th, the HUB dining center will move to a “Grab & Go” only service.

 

This will allow for limited exposure to both residents and staff in our continuing efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These precautions are in-line with state and local safety practices being taken by area restaurants.

 

Residents can go to the HUB anytime between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up their meals for the day. Simply go to the HUB, select from the provided menu, and all your meals will be packaged in bags and microwaveable containers for in-room heating and eating.

     A Vandals Dining team member will be located at the HUB entrance to take your meal(s) order and have it packaged on the spot. Vegetarian and gluten free options will continue, and Vandals Dining will work with individuals with other specific allergy or dietary restrictions. DINING SERVICE UPDATE: April 1, 2020 - To promote ease of service and offer enhanced convenience to our guests, Vandals Dining will now open for a normal lunch service hour from 11:30am - 1:30pm and offer a variety of pre-packaged to-go lunches. Guests will still be permitted to pick up their boxed lunch at any breakfast or dinner service Monday - Friday (as well as Sunday evening).  
 
     IMPORTANT LUNCH UPDATE: March 27, 2020 - Vandals Dining will now offer pre-packaged to-go lunches available for pickup at the Hub during any breakfast or dinner service Monday - Friday in lieu of a typical lunch service hour. 
Guests will be required to produce payment upon selecting a boxed lunch. i.e. (Vandal Card Meal Swipe, Cash, Credit/Debit). 
  
To promote ease of service and remain cognizant of our guests health and wellness, Vandals Dining will be implementing an enhanced service style until further notice. Please see below for an overview of what to expect when dining with us in the Hub
 
To-Go Service Only: 
Immediately upon return from Spring Break, the Hub will be implementing a to-go only service style. 

To accommodate this, staff will be providing all guests with single-use containers, disposable cutlery packs, individually packaged condiments, pre-wrapping desserts and rotating to only non-edible exterior hand fruits. 

Vandals Dining will be implementing a monitored “self-swipe” entry to the Hub. 

Meal periods will see a break in serving time as we work diligently to cleanse all contact surfaces before the next meal period begins. 
A Vandals Dining team member will be present to continually disinfect meal serving areas during serving times.  
 
Beverages will be distributed via staff to guest in the form of bottled water, canned soda, a variety of milk cartons and juice bottles before their departure. 
The Hub will be sure to allow for the service of vegan/vegetarian options at all meal periods. 

Should guests have any special dietary restrictions or needs, they are encouraged to vocalize this to a Vandals Dining team member and we will be sure to accommodate them as much as possible. 

Only 10 guests will be permitted in the serving area at a time. 
The practice of social distancing will be encouraged. 

Serving times are as follows: 
Monday - Friday

Breakfast: 8am - 9am | Lunch:11:30am - 1:30pm  | Dinner:5pm - 7pm 

Saturday & Sunday

Brunch: 11am – 1pm | Dinner: 5pm – 7pm 

Brunch service will include both hot breakfast varieties in addition to freshly-prepared lunch items.
